We employ a high proportion of TAFE and University qualified staff who ensure that the services are of high quality and programs reflect each child’s needs, interests & developmental levels. 

Family Day Care

Family Day Care provides quality care for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. Family Day Care staff support Family Day Carers providing care in their own homes. Staff also arrange training and playgroups; make regular visits and monitor child development. 

This warm small group environment is particularly suited to the needs of children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.  

Care hours are flexible and can be matched to your family’s needs whether full time, part time or casual. Weekend or overnight care may also be available for children of shift workers. School aged care can be arranged before and after school or during school holidays. 

Long Day Care

Our qualified staff program to meet the individual needs and interests of children, including those with special needs. Our school readiness program is designed to develop children’s fine and gross motor, social, emotional, and

self-help skills in preparation for school.  

Long Day Care has rooms for children aged 2 to 3 and 3 to 5. Two early childhood teachers lead the two groups. Part time and full time care is available Monday to Friday, 7.30 am – 6.00 pm.   

We open for at least 50 weeks per year according to parents needs. Any closures would be in the Christmas/ New Year period, on public holidays and staff development days. 

Place your name on our waiting list early, as there is competition for places. A waiting list fee applies. 

Before, After School and Vacation Care

These services cater for school children aged 5 to 12 years. Staff create a relaxed, safe environment where children can enjoy a wide range of activities that are fun and suited to their ages and interests. 

Before & After School Care provides care and recreation for children from OLOR and Clarke Road Schools.  

·       Before School Care: 7.00 to 8.30am
·       After School Care: 3.00 to 6.00 pm. 

Vacation Care. All children are welcome to enjoy our excursions and activities during public school holidays. 

Hours: 7.30 am – 6.00 pm. 

Pupil Free Day Care can be arranged if there is sufficient interest from parents.

Special Needs 

Centacare Children’s Centre staff are available to discuss additional care requirements and arrange suitable care for children with special needs. Staff work closely with the Inclusion Support Team and apply for additional funds and resources through the Inclusion Support Subsidy to meet your child’s needs.
