Catholic Life & Faith Formation

Promoting opportunities for the catechesis and spiritual formation of adults.

Spiritual growth is a journey of maturing faith. As disciples of Jesus, we listen and learn from him and are constantly drawn to turn more and more towards him. To grow spiritually, therefore, is to deepen our relationship with Christ, and to grow in holiness and communion with God and with each other.

"Spiritual progress tends toward ever more intimate union with Christ." (CCC 2014)

This is a journey that lasts a lifetime and should be continually nourished by ongoing spiritual formation.

The Catholic Life & Faith Formation Team of the Office for Evangelisation supports individuals and parishes of the Diocese in catechesis and spiritual formation.

Parish life is supported by the facilitation of formation opportunities and resources that empower parishes to form their people in a living, explicit and fruitful faith, by offering short courses and workshops on a regional and local level that enable individuals and parishes to be ever more effective agents of evangelisation, and by supporting adults to act as disciples in mission to the world including through ecumenical, interreligious dialogue, charity and justice.
