Confirmation is the second of the sacraments of initiation in which the gifts of the Holy Spirit are received in a special way to strengthen us in our spiritual journey.
Children are eligible in our parish to receive this sacrament if they have been baptised (or received) into the Catholic church if they are 7 years of age or in Year 2.
They are prepared for the sacrament using the Sacramental Program prepared by the diocese over a four weekly period immediately prior to reception of the sacrament.
Older children or adults are prepared for the sacrament through separate programs appropriate to their age.
The sacrament will be conferred in 2010 on Sunday, 22nd August in two sessions at 10.30am and 12.00noon. To download an application form please follow this Sacraments link to 'Sacramental Programs'.
