FR FRANK VAUGHAN — REST IN PEACE
It is my sombre duty to inform you that Fr Frank Vaughan died gently in his sleep Wednesday morning 23rd July at Lourdes Village, Killara. He was to turn 96 next week.
Fr Vaughan’s last appointment was as Parish Priest at Queen of Peace Church, Normanhurst. He was the founding and only Parish Priest of Normanhurst from 1971 and continuing there until his retirement in 2012.
Fr Vaughan's funeral was held on 1st August 2014 at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral
I am sure you will join me in keeping Fr Vaughan, his family and friends in your prayers at this sad time.
Fr Vince Casey,
Striving to be a Christ-centred community with the guidance of the Holy Spirit
to know and love Christ through the Scriptures
to praise and worship God through our liturgies
to care for and serve each other
to reach out in witness and welcome to all
to seek unity
Our Diocesan Vision calls for Pastoral Care for Evangelisation. To achieve this:
All Catholics within the Diocese of Broken Bay will have access to and receive the best possible Pastoral Care available
within their individual parish situation, and
We will focus on reaching out to others through Evangelisation, and encourage the welcoming back of those Catholics
who do not participate in a full way in the life of church
May the Queen of Peace be our guide
