Holy Family has excellent, modern building facilities. The main building contains twelve classrooms, tuckshop, library, internal and external toilets, office area, staffroom, withdrawal and storage areas. Every classroom is well resourced with a wet area, ample storage space, as well as a minimum of six computers enabling an effective teaching and learning environment. The school has a hall and also a space allocated to After School Care. The school is fortunate to be situated on the same site as Holy Family Parish Church enabling a close link between the school and the Parish community.
Library
The library is a large attractive and busy place, centrally located for easy access. Students can visit before, after school and during their lunchtime to borrow books, read, research, play games and use the modern computer system. The resource collection is extensive with a considerable amount of money allocated by the Parents and Friends’ Association each year for the purchasing of resources to support class programs and promote life-long learning.
Playground
The upper playground consists of a sheltered undercroft containing marked handball courts, lunch seats and a multi-purpose netball/basketball court. The lower playground has a small grassed area, sandpit and a well-appointed formal play equipment playground. It enables the development of a variety of skills whilst encouraging free and active play. The children are rostered into the different areas to enable maximum use and supervision.
