Big day for new Kindy kids
Our Lady Help of Christians Primary at Epping welcomed 19 Kindergarten students on Friday 29 January. First time parents and kids were a little nervous but mostly excited about the experience.
Janelle, mother to new Kindy kid Kaitlyn, said Kaitlyn was so excited and couldn’t wait for the big day. “I think she’s practically worn her school shoes out already, she’s been wearing them every day!”
Another first time Kindy mum Desiree agreed, and said her son Liam was well-prepared to start school. “Liam learned to tie his shoe laces before he came to school, he was very eager to start.”
Desiree said Our Lady Help of Christians was a great school and has made the family feel very comfortable about starting school. “We are from a long line of Catholic school students in our family, and as the time got closer to choose a school, the local Catholic school was the best option for us.”
The Kindergarten class eased into school with a half day, which included some time playing on the equipment outside.
