Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Primary School Strategic Plan for 2009 identifies strategic goals from six Priority Areas.
The six Priority Areas are:
1. Catholic Life and Mission
2. Pastoral Care
3. Curriculum Teaching and Learning
4. Leadership
5. Professional Learning
6. Stewardship, Management and Accountability
The following annual strategic goals are drawn from the Priority Areas:
Priority Area 1: Catholic Life and Mission
1.1 Strengthen the religious knowledge and provide opportunities for faith formation of staff, students and parents.
1.1.2 Further enhance and extend relationships across parish.
Priority Area 2: Pastoral Care
2.3 Develop and further encourage practices that are inclusive of the whole school community
Priority Area 3: Curriculum Teaching and Learning
3.2 Meet the needs of the students through a consistent approach to quality pedagogy K-6
3.3 Support students and staff in the use of emerging technologies that enhance quality teaching and learning
3.4 Differentiate the curriculum in order to cater for the diverse needs of students including , Gender education and Gifted education.
3.5 Further develop existing curriculum to improve student outcomes, particularly focusing on Mathematics.
Priority Area 4: Leadership
4.1 Model collaborative and authentic leadership in order to inspire other community members to higher levels of engagement and commitment.
4.3 Collaborate with all stakeholders, to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly identified, communicated and underpinned by the values of justice, inclusion, respect and understanding
Priority Area 5: Professional Learning
5.2 Balance between whole school and individual learning
5.3 Identify and embed professional learning processes that improve student learning
Priority Area 6: Stewardship, Management and Accountability
6.3 Highlight environmental sustainability across all aspects of the school and community.
6.4 Raise the profile of Our Lady Help of Christians in the local community through celebrating achievements, active community involvement, developing positive relationships with pre-schools and high schools and establishing a formal publicity committee.
6.5 Generate, implement and monitor a three year technology plan to guide the purchasing and integration of ICLT across all facets of school life.
