Human Society and its Environment (HSIE)
The aim of H.S.I.E. is to develop values and attitudes, knowledge, skills and understanding in students that:

enhance their sense of personal, community, national and global identity; and
-
enable students to participate effectively in maintaining and improving the quality of their society and environment.
The HSIE syllabus allows for easy integration with Religious Education at Our Lady of Dolours as it places special emphasis on values and attitudes.
At Our Lady of Dolours all classes study and participate in an Asian Studies unit during Term 2. This unit culminates in a ‘Walk through Asia’ which parents are invited to enjoy with us.
