Pastoral care is the total climate of care which exists in a school. It reflects the broad Christian ethos of individuals caring for and respecting one another. Pastoral Care is also reflected in the School's Vision and Mission Statements which are built on a shared belief system which helps the school achieve its objectives. It is this shared belief system on which we build the strong and positive relationships which underpin the school community.
At 'Our Lady of Dolours' there is a strong focus of a shared partnership with staff, parents and children in promoting the academic, social, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing of each child. Members of the school community share a belief in the value of each individual student and are committed to working with students to produce love of learning and self respect in a Christ-centred community.
