This is a Government funded program, which aims at increasing physical activity amongst children. After school sport exposes students to a variety of activities, games and skills in a friendly environment. Children learn fantastic communication skills and learn to work cooperatively with others.
OLOR gives all students from grades Kindergarten to Year 6 the chance to participate in this free program which commences every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm – 4:15pm. Each day of AASS of each week targets a different stage of learning so that the earlier grades can learn fundamental motor skills and the higher grades can be more physically challenged.
This program has attracted a large number of students from our school and is certainly a step in the right direction to getting children active and motivated towards sport instead of watching television or playing video games during the afternoon.
