Inspired by an abundant supply of credible research to support the fact that many students have minimal “quality time” with their Dad (or an influential male in their life), Prouille decided to introduce the “Play and Display Night”.
For an entire teaching term, dads (or influential males in students’ lives) embarked on a special project with their children. Billy carts and a wide variety of toys were made; other projects included a series of bush walks and some students wrote extended stories with their dad.
The programme culminated in a wonderful evening of “sharing” at school.
