The Buddy Programme is an important initiative at Prouille. Each child starting in Kindergarten is paired with a Year 6 student who provides support, care and fun for their buddy throughout the year. This helps to build confidence, self esteem and resilience for the younger child while also providing a social contact and cross age friendship.
Year 6 students also benefit from this programme as it provides a special responsibility and develops their leadership and mentoring skills.
Many special activities are enjoyed by the buddies throughout the year, including the much anticipated Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
Family Buddy Programme – A Parents & Friends’ Association Initiative
Our Prouille Parents & Friends’ Association has initiated a very welcome and successful programme.
Each family new to the school is matched with a Prouille family whose child is currently in the class the new student is joining.
This programme helps to support and assimilate the new family into our school community.
