P&F Welcome BBQ

P&F parent Room

The P & F Association meets twice a term, holding one day and one evening meeting. Dates are decided at the beginning of the year and are included in the school calendar. The meetings provide a forum for parents to share in policy and decision-making. Parents are invited to be active participants at the meetings and support the various functions of the Association.

Among its functions are the following:

Fund-raising
Profits from fund-raising events are channelled into both capital works and the purchase of resources for the school. These fund-raising events often provide the community of St. Cecilia's with opportunities to enjoy one another's company at a social level.

Parent Room
The P&F Pastoral Care Parents run a Parent Room where parents can come and meet over coffee, look at resources and spend time getting to know other parents. The Parent Room is open on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons.

School Canteen
The school canteen is open for sales and lunch orders from Monday to Friday. The Response Group have taken over the running of the canteen. A minimum of one to two volunteers are still required each day, particularly during serving times.

Clothing Pool
Second-hand school uniforms are stored in the uniform shop next to the canteen. The clothing pool volunteer is available for sales every Wednesday morning (8.45am-9.15am) and Wednesday afternoon (2.30pm-3pm).

Pastoral Care
The P & F's Pastoral Care Committee is responsible for extending support, encouragement or sympathy to families in special circumstances such as:

  • those families who are new to the school community
  • illness in the family
  • death of a family member
  • birth of a baby

School Maintenance/Working Bees
A maintenance roster will be drawn up on the basis of grade groups. Each grade will be responsible for ONE maintenance day each year.
