Starting ‘big school’ is a big step in a child’s life and that of their family too.  Perhaps this is your first child and you are terrified of letting them go, or maybe it’s your second child and you can’t wait for them to start, or possibly this will be your youngest and you can’t believe how quickly they’ve grown. Whichever stage you’re at, we understand what an anxious time this can be, and have developed our kindergarten orientation program with this in mind.

Each year at St. Cecilia’s Catholic School we offer a “Headstart” program, a five week kindergarten orientation for your youngest children about to start school and their parents.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our newest pupils to become familiar with their ‘big school’ and the friends they will be in class with.

It is also an opportunity for parents, as you get to know more about our great community and you will meet many other wonderful parents who know exactly how you feel.
