Classrooms
St Cecilia’s School has fourteen well-equipped classrooms with a variety of materials to enrich the learning needs of our students. The classrooms are carpeted with a wet area included, ceiling fans, internet access in all rooms, interactive whiteboards in Kindergarten, ceiling mounted data projectors in Yr 4 rooms and air conditioning throughout the school.

Each classroom has access to desktop computers and a number of laptop computers are available for use in classrooms. The school has wireless connection throughout which allows for a flexible use of technology incorporated into all learning areas.

Learning Support Office
We are fortunate in having a Learning Support Team of dedicated people who assist class teachers with children who have been assessed as being eligible for Integration Funding. The Learning Support Team has an office situated next to the Yr 1 classrooms.

Playground
Playground facilities at St Cecilia’s are generous and provide the opportunity for students to have a balance of passive and energetic playtime options.

There are separate playing areas for infants and primary age children including a basketball court and handball courts. We have a large covered outdoor learning area that provides shelter from hot or inclement weather and there is a bright interactive mural provided for the younger children in their play area.

There are two quality Playground Equipment areas. During playtimes, a vast range of physical activities takes place on this equipment to help strengthen children’s upper body and co ordination skills. The children love this part of the playground and the softfall is regularly topped up to ensure the area is safe.

Canteen
Our school canteen is open five days a week for recess and lunch and provides a variety of healthy food options for the students. We welcome parents and grandparents to help in the canteen in serving during recess and lunch breaks. The canteen involves the community by holding special promotions throughout the term or to support a charity. The local community group, Response, operates the canteen. A full-time coordinator and valued members of the group form the team and are a wonderful addition to the school community.

Multi-Purpose Room
Our Multi Purpose Room features a large open area where year groups can meet and is used for incursions, music and choir lessons and utilised by P&F group and Kindergarten Orientation programs. The Multi-Purpose Room is also appropriate for use for grade masses and liturgies with a designated Indigenous Stations of the Cross area and our beautiful altar.

Oval
The school oval has been resurfaced in recent years and upgraded annually as necessary. It is fitted with an underground sprinkler system thanks to financial support from the Catholic Schools Office. It is a large area that caters for Physical Education lessons, recess and lunchtime activities.

Parent Room /Uniform Shop
The Parent Room is coordinated by the P&F Pastoral Care group and provides an opportunity for parents to meet socially over a cup of tea or coffee. There are resource books for parents also available for borrowing. The Parent Room is open on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons.

School uniforms are available through the School Uniform Shop, also coordinated by the P&F, which is open on Wednesday from 8.30 to 9:00am and 2.30 to 3.00pm. The Uniform Shop stocks good quality second hand uniforms for very reasonable prices.
