School Band
Children are able to join the junior band from Year Three and need no previous experience. Band involvement can benefit children in many ways. Apart from developing musical ability and performance techniques, children gain valuable social skills from becoming an important member of a team.
Professional band musicians run the program. Small group and whole group lessons are conducted. Children progress to the Senior Band. There are opportunities for the children to perform for the whole school, parents and wider community.
Chess
Opportunities for children to be professionally coached in chess exist on a weekly basis. Each term children can join the Chess Club and extend their skills.
