The St John the Baptist Parents & Friends Association is made up of the Parents and Carers of students attending the school, staff and members of our parish community. The Parents & Frients endeavours to build positive relationships between all members of the school and parish, for the benefit of their children’s overall development and learning. 

The role of the Parent & Friends is to: 

• Reach out to all associated with the school to build a friendly and welcoming faith filled community which seeks to involve all its members;
• Provide a parental perspective to assist the principal and the school board in decision making;
• Support parents and carers in their parental responsibilities and involvement in their children’s learning at home and at school:
• Provide opportunities for parents and carers to gain insights into the life of the school, current developments in education particularly catholic education;
• Organise social activities for parents, carers and children. Some examples are: Welcome BBQ, Kids discos, Father’s Day breakfast and St John the Baptist feast day BBQ;
• Raise funds to provide resources and opportunities for enriching the learning environment of the school. Our fundraising opportunities include Easter raffle, Mother’s and Father’s day stalls, Family portraits and of course the school fete. We are currently raising funds for our new playground equipment;
• Operates the Clothing pool. Open Wednesday 8.45-9.30am 

General Meetings are held twice per term commencing at 7pm in the school staffroom.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
