Chapel
St John the Baptist has a Chapel on site which the community uses for reflective prayer. During the Religious Education modules teachers also utilise the Chapel to provide space and time for children to be still and experience the presence of God. Teachers also celebrate prayer here on a weekly basis.
Classrooms
At our school we have 15 purpose built classrooms, 7 in the K-2 block and 8 on the primary side. All are carpeted, with ceiling fans and wet areas. All classrooms have networked desktop computers and 4 have interactive whiteboards. During Catholic Schools Week, the community is invited in to our classrooms to view the learning that occurs.
Library
The library is an integral part of the school and is accessed by the students at least once per week in their weekly library lesson. Children are provided with other opportunities to attend the library when teachers take their class over for research and during lunch times when it is open for children to freely interact with the resources both on the shelf and online.
Playground, Oval and Hall
Over the next 6 months St John the Baptist will be undergoing major changes as our new hall and playground are being built. The plans for these are now on display in the office foyer for you to view.
