All that happens in the Catholic School, the curriculum, the relationships, the priorities, the aims and objectives, the pastoral care and discipline has the potential to speak of God’s life. 

Central in our endeavours to provide the most well rounded and complete education for the students under our care must be the development of each student’s sense of self-worth, belonging and well being. 

Affirming appropriate behaviour can be of significant value in our efforts to succeed in this area. Appropriate behaviour must be visibly and continuously reinforced and promoted in our school. 

Our School affirms appropriate behaviour by recognising those students who have shown a positive behaviour or attitude or who have produced quality work. Students are presented with awards at school assembly.

• is a responsibility entrusted to all members of the faith community

• is an expression of, and commitment to, justice. 

In support of the school’s Pastoral Care Policy, St John the Baptist offers students opportunities to participate in:

• Seasons for Growth Program designed to address issues related to grief, loss and change.
• Learning Assistance Program (LAP) which supports students through partnerships with community volunteers and assists with the development of self-esteem, confidence and social skills.
