St John the Baptist school crest

The original inhabitants of Woy Woy were the Guringai people. They named this area Woy Woy which means ‘place of much water’. It is fitting then that St John the Baptist Catholic School is at Woy Woy as Saint John came to baptise with water.

St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School is part of the Broken Bay diocesan school system and is situated on approximately 2 hectares in Woy Woy South at the southern end of the Central Coast.

Our school is a faith community, where students are encouraged to live their lives by following the gospel values. Throughout the year, many opportunities exist for the community to share in their faith journey;

  • Whole school Masses at Church
  • Whole school Liturgies at School
  • Grade Masses and Liturgies
  • St John the Baptist Feast Day
  • Catholic Schools Week
  • End of year concert

 Please contact the school should you require any further information.
