Assemblies are held twice a week to celebrate our learning

St Kevin’s school has two assemblies weekly and parents are welcome to attend both.

On Monday morning the school prayer is said followed by the announcement of the fortnight's Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) focus. Merit awards for achievements over the past week are handed out. Messages from the principal and teachers are shared with the students and parents and the week’s house points are announced. The winning house adds a coloured spot to the shield and each term the winning colour house receives a reward for their effort.

Friday assemblies are coordinated by the Year 6 class and begin with the school song ‘United in Love’ and a sharing of work by a class, group or guest speaker. Birthdays are acknowledged by song and a certificate and children are clapped back to their seats. Principal and PBL awards are distributed on Friday. Messages are given and the assembly closes with the singing of two verses of the National Anthem.
