The College Library has a programme that actively supports and enriches the curriculum. The goal of the Library staff is to develop and encourage in all students skills to locate and use information of all kinds. This will help build satisfaction and confidence in finding things out for themselves, both during and beyond their years at school.
The Library is an important area of the College, providing a different learning environment to that of the classroom, and the Library staff are committed to making everyone welcome and happy using it.
Mission Statement
The Information Services Centre supports the Mission Statement of the College by:
-
encouraging each student to fulfil their academic and personal potential in a supportive learning environment
-
encouraging each student to develop skills for independent, lifelong learning
-
providing students with access to resources which will help them to make informed and responsible judgements on issues affecting their own lives and their future role as citizens in a democratic society
Computer Network Resources
The Library computer network offers access to the catalogue of library resources and websites, as well as selected CDROM titles (including the Sydney Morning Herald and Encyclopaedia Britannica).
