As a community we have recently developed a Pastoral Care Policy that is aimed at achieving our Vision Statement with a focus on the values of Respect, Responsibility and Reconciliation.
The policy identifies key values and looks at the implication of these for students, teachers and parents. The policy includes strategies to identify and reward appropriate behaviour. It outlines consequences for children who work outside school expectations and how parents and teachers can work together to educate the children on positive choices. It also reflects our stance on quality behaviour that does not tolerate bullying.
To assist the children develop quality behaviour we organise the children into Peer Support Groups which involves one child from each class working cooperatively under the leadership of the senior children.
